1) Some years ago, criminologist Marvin Wolfgang proposed a theory of criminal victimization known as Victim Precipitation Theory. In short, the theory argues that often, victims do something which precipitates (or contributes to) their own victimization. What are your thoughts on this? Perhaps choose a specific type of crime and offer a discussion. Think about violent assaults, including sexual assault or domestic violence, or property crimes. There are a few readings in the current module. You may perform your own background search as well, if you like.
