The short film is for children and will need to use age appropriate terminology, be

interesting, informative and engaging. It cannot be a didactic instructional film where

you stand in front of a board and explain how to work out a routine problem.

What is your focus:

1) Create and design a short film about a mathematics topic in the appropriate substrands.

2) Make clear the topic all the way through the short film – don’t lose sight of whatyou

are focusing on.

3) Read the criteria sheet which shows the overall standards that your short film willbe

assessed on.
