This is a literature review based around theory around the factors which affect employee satisfaction in retail situations. My specific research will be around employees in a service department of a motor retail who deal with customers directly. However it can be more general around what current literature says about factors that effect employee satisfaction and it’s importance.

It also needs to be critical of the literature.

Things that affect employee satisfaction such as management styles, motivation, morale, value, pay, staffing issues. these can be classed as: reward and motivation, management leadership styles, wellbeing etc.
